Intra-Operative Radiotherapy

The intraoperative radiation therapy program is a joint effort of the Departments of Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Gynecologic Oncology, and Anesthesiology. In this highly specialized technique, radiation therapy is administered, via a high dose rate after loading machine, during surgery. The facility is currently under construction and should be open for patient treatment in May 2000.
