Diversity & Inclusion Seminar 9/2

Please join Radiation Oncology's Diversity & Inclusion Team for a lecture on September 2, 2020, from 8:00-9:00 am featuring Jennifer J. Griggs, MD, MPH, FACP, FASCO. Dr. Griggs will be speaking on equity in healthcare and cancer care; the title of her talk is "On the Edges and at the Intersection: Addressing Cancer Care Inequities." 

Dr. Griggs is Professor in the Department of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology and in the Department of Health Management and Policy in the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan. She is a medical oncologist with a practice focused on the care of women with breast cancer. Her federally-funded research program focuses on quality of care and equity in care for minorities and patients who live in lower resourced areas.

Dr. Griggs is the Program Director for the Michigan Oncology Quality Consortium. She has served as Chair or a member of multiple committees at ASCO and is one of the Associate Editors for the Journal of Clinical Oncology. She is a practitioner of narrative medicine and a life coach.
