DROC Alumni Spotlight: Pretesh Patel, MD

Dr. Pretesh Patel is associate professor and vice chair of clinical operations in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Emory University. He subspecializes in the treatment of gastrointestinal and genitourinary malignancies utilizing advanced forms of radiotherapy, including high dose rate brachytherapy and proton therapy. His research interests include developing digital clinical support tools, translational AI-informed treatment paradigms and clinical trials.

Dr. Patel was the department's first DROC (Duke Radiation Oncology Community of Residents, Faculty and Alumni) speaker in February, delivering a talk titled "Building a Clinical Operation Nexus."
