Eyler Featured by V Foundation

Christine Eyler, MD, PhD, was profiled by the V Foundation for Cancer Research as part of their Mothers in the Lab feature for Mother's Day. The story explores Dr. Eyler's dual roles as a physician-scientist and a devoted mom to her three kids.

In 2024, Dr. Eyler was awarded a V Foundation "V Scholar Award" grant for her research on deciphering drivers of cell changes in response to rectal cancer radiation; the grant awards $600,000 over three years.

"Balancing motherhood with a demanding career isn't easy but [Dr. Eyler] finds inspiration in both her children and patients. The lessons she learns in the lab come home with her; the ones she learns at home shape her approach to science. Occasionally she brings her children to her lab building, where their natural curiosity fits right in. The values of dedication and passion she applies at work also serve as life lessons she passes on them. She hopes to instill in her children the same sense of purpose and joy in their work later in life." Read the full feature here.
