Lu Awarded Funding for Deep Learning Project

Ke Lu, PhD, has been awarded a $49,800 yearlong Duke University Provost Fund for Duke-DKU Collaborations for the project "Prior-Knowledge-Independent Deep Learning-Based Reconstruction for Low-Dose Sparse-View Digital Breast Tomosynthesis." Medical physics graduate program alumnus Xiaoyu Duan, PhD, serves as DKU PI for this project.

This study aims to develop deep learning-based digital breast tomosynthesis algorithms to minimize radiation exposure while maintaining high-quality imaging for precise early cancer detection.
