Palta Named 2026 ASTRO Fellow

Honor recognizes exceptional service to the field of radiation oncology and cancer care

Manisha Palta, MD, is among the 39 members of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) to be named a Fellow for 2026. Dr. Palta will be recognized at ASTRO's 68th Annual Meeting in Boston on Tuesday, September 29.

The ASTRO Fellow designation, FASTRO, honors individuals who have contributed significantly to the Society through committee work, other volunteer service and to the field of radiation oncology in the areas of research, education, patient care or leadership.

The FASTRO designation has been awarded to just 580 of ASTRO's 10,000+ members worldwide since its inception in 2006.

Duke Radiation Oncology is proud to have 16 FASTRO recipients among our faculty (including emeritus faculty; not including adjunct faculty).
