Robbins Graduates from DCLP, Selected To Join CACHE Learning Collaborative

Jared Robbins, MD (left, pictured with Mike Pignone, MD), graduated from the 2026 cohort of the Duke Clinical Leadership Program (DCLP), a six-month longitudinal leadership program that empowers emerging faculty leaders within Duke Health with increased awareness of health system operations and strategy, and practical leadership and management skill development. Each DCLP participant completed a project to apply knowledge and skills from the program to improve an issue within their clinical work unit.

Dr. Robbins' project was titled, "Narrowing the Window: Practical Solutions for Overcoming Treatment Delays in Starting Adjuvant Radiation After Head and Neck Cancer Surgery."

Dr. Robbins was also competitively selected to join the Collaborative to Advance Clinical Health Equity (CACHE)-Department of Medicine Learning Collaborative, which provides a quality improvement framework training, support and mentorship to further advance project goals.

"The project looked at ways to shorten the time between surgery and the start of radiation for head and neck cancer patients," said Dr. Robbins. "The selection qualifies me to participate in the CACHE Learning Collaborative over the next academic year and fully develop my project. It's an exceptional program and a great opportunity to learn from national leaders in QI projects and workflow interventions to improve my project and to see it through to the end."
