Why Duke Radiation Oncology?
When I interviewed, resident culture was a priority to me, and I thought Duke Radiation Oncology had the best residents! Also, I really connected with the faculty, who were so kind and down-to-earth. Overall, Duke is a well-rounded program that has a high clinical volume and a strong emphasis on education.

Why Durham?
Durham is a great place to live! It is so green here and there are so many wonderful hiking trails. I love exploring the restaurants here – M Sushi and Mateo Bar de Tapas are some of my favorites. We were also able to buy a house here!

What do you like to do outside of Duke?
I like to spend time with my partner, my dog and my two cats. Since I’ve been here, we’ve gone to the Outer Banks, Wilmington, Asheville, Charlotte and DC. I also love having my co-residents over for board game nights.
