Why Duke Radiation Oncology?
As a medical student, I had the privilege to learn from and be mentored by a Duke Radiation Oncology alumnus. I was amazed at how knowledgable and well prepared he was to handle even the most complex patient cases. His example inspired me to consider Duke for my own training.

In addition to the excellent clinical training and supportive environment, I also found that Duke provided unique research opportunities and the requisite expertise to help me develop as a physician-scientist interested in pursuing a translationally focused career.

What do you like to do outside of Duke?
I enjoy participating in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, studying theology and philosophy, being involved in my parish, watching classic movies, playing fantasy football and spending time with my wonderful family.

Clinical and research interests
I’m very interested in studying tumor hypoxia with an eye towards tackling the problem of hypoxic radioresistance. I’m also interested in applying Bayesian statistical methods to clinical trial design in radiation oncology.
