What do you like to do outside of Duke?

I enjoy coaching and playing volleyball, hiking and going to Duke athletic events.

Clinical and research interests?

My research interests include developing AI auto-contouring models.

What are the strengths of Duke’s residency program?

There is a great group of attendings that care about teaching the residents and that support a collaborative work environment. Residents do not cross-cover attendings when co-residents are away, which allows us to focus on our primary rotation. Residents rotate at the Durham Veterans Affairs hospital, which allows us to treat a variety of pathology with supported autonomy.

What advice do you have for incoming residents?

Develop strong professional relationships with all of your peers and come to work each day with a positive attitude.
