Why Duke Radiation Oncology?
Duke provides the ideal balance of clinical training and academic research. On interview day, it was clear to me that residents are both challenged and supported by all faculty and staff.
What do you like to do outside of Duke?
I enjoy spending time with my wife, going to the beach, hiking, reading and lifting weights.
Clinical and research interests
I am interested in neurocognitive preservation and toxicity reduction in CNS malignancies. I am also looking forward to discovering new interests as I progress through residency.
What were you looking for in a residency program?
I looked for a program that offers exposure to a wide variety and complexity of cases, as well as encourages scholarly activity. Equally important, I desired to be at a program that fosters a culture of compassion, cooperation and excellence.
