Chang-Lung Lee, PhD, received the 2026 J.W. Osborne Award from the Radiation Research Society (RRS). He will deliver the award lecture at the RRS annual meeting in Hawaii in October.
The award honors an RRS member who has contributed significantly to the understanding of normal tissue radiation responses; it is given annually to an outstanding mid-career member of the radiation research community in recognition of their contributions.
The overall goal of Dr. Lee's lab is to improve the therapeutic window of radiation therapy and the survivorship of cancer patients by minimizing the acute and late effects of radiation. His research program focuses on developing novel medical countermeasures and predictive biomarkers of radiation-induced normal tissue injury by deeply understanding the underlying mechanisms.
